Tournaments

At Millennium we're striving to bring you the most interesting and popular tournament games, including miniatures, and board games.

Classic Battletech  -  Field of Glory  -  Warmaster Ancients  -  Risk  -  Warrior

Field of Glory- Texas Championship (TO2)

Schedule - Saturday Morning - Afternoon - Evening

This is an 800 point open event for 10mm and 15mm armies.

This will be a 3 round tournament and players are expected to provide their own terrain (we won't be using preset terrrain because many armies are dependant on terrain placement for success).

This event will count towards US National Tournament FoG rankings and if we can get a high enough attendance, we will petition Slitherine to make this a non-minor tournament (all non-minors are currently in the East and SouthEast, this would bring an event to the Central/Southwest US).

Millenniumcon X Results

Well we have Crowned a National Champion for the first Annual Warmaster Ancients tournament.

Last weekend ten brave souls stepped up to participate in the National WMA Championship at MillenniumCon 10. You might say it was an international event since we had one player from Argentina, Alvaro Erize, and one from Boston Massachusetts, Mike Fischer.

Thank you to all the players that showed up to make this a good event.

Thank you to the staff of MConX for the support of the tourney. And the loaner armies! To Litko and Pendrakenusa for providing prize support.

We had 3 first timers to play WMA, one that had played 4 games and 6 with many games under their belt. So at the suggestion of the Seasoned Gamers, not wanting to take an unfair advantage if they faced a New Recruit, I split them into a New Recruits Division and a Seasoned Gamers Division.

Seasoned Gamers Division :

  • 1st Alvaro Erize Britons 73pts
  • 2nd Nathan Hook Sarmatians 63pts
  • 3rd Francisco Erize Late Republican Romans 48pts
  • 4th Mike Fischer Palmyra 43pts
  • 5th Donavan Kennedy Seleucids 31pts
  • 6th Chris Dingley Parthians 12pts.

First place prize was a 1000pt army of the newly redesigned Late Romans by Pendraken and a 50 count pack of 40mm x 20mm Litko bases. Second place prize were 2 packs of infantry and 1 pack of cavarly of Sassanid Persians by Pendraken and a 50 count pack of 40mm x 20mm Litko bases. Third - Sixth places received a pack of skulls by Litko.

New Recruits Division:

  • 1st Cameron Radetzky Sassanids Persians 50pts
  • 2nd Shaughan Hidalgo Republican Romans 24pts
  • 3rd Ted Nowak Qin Chinese 21pts
  • 4th Pierce Peck Normans 14pts

First place prize was 200pts of Dacians by Pendraken. Second place prize was 3 packs of the new Late Romans by Pendraken.

Other than Alvaro and Mike, all the other players were from the Austin or San Antonio area.

Next year at MillenniumCon Eleven, the National Warmaster Ancients Championship will have two main divisions: 10mm and 15mm divisions. We might sub-divide them further if there are more new recruits to either scale.

All in all, I believe everyone had a good time and I will be ready for next year's tournament.

I hope to see more of you there! Blake
